No doubt you’ve heard that saying, “I refuse to talk about religion and politics.” Often this is a good way to be as both these subject appear to be flash points for many people. While it would be nice if people could have reasoned discussions about their differences, it’s obvious if you look at world history that it isn’t going to happen any time soon.
Look at the long running problem in Ireland, Iraq and Iran and any world hotspot that is suffering over religious and political differences. That’s the other thing, very often religion and politics go hand in hand and once you start discussing one topic, the other inevitably pops up. Duck and run when these two things get mulled over in a bar - you’re asking for a nasty outcome by mixing politics and religion with booze.
